Beyond Putin's Wildest Dreams of Destroying NATO and the US Democracy

Pretext to Call for Martial Law and Flush (Cancel or "Supervise") Elections

Remember This????

Obama asked Republican leaders to stand with him and publicly denounce Russian interference in our elections.  The Republican leaders refused.  Why? Because Putin wanted Trump to win.  Why?  Because Trump is the path to the great US experiment's demise. And here we are.  With massive efforts to gerrymander elections out of any practical value and even Supreme Court sanctioned immunity for Trump as well as the right of government enforcers to stop people on the basis of their skin color ("Kavanaugh Stops"), what has made the US a deviant, an abnormal, a special place is being pulled down into the historical norms of might makes right.

During the George Floyd unrest, Trump decided to take a walk past rows of riot police and protesters in Lafayette Park (no irony there), to St. John's Episcopal. On his way to using a church and a Bible as media props, Trump asked members of his incredulous entourage, including his Attorney General Bill Barr, and General Mark Milley (Chairman of the Joint Chiefs) why the police can't just shoot the protesters (they were being tear-gassed). Milley was later accused of treason and put under formal investigation by Trump and Hegseth for criticizing Trump.  The Secretary of Defense, Mark Esper (to the right of Trump in pic), said Trump "has inclinations toward fascism" (read his book A Sacred Oath). Interesting coincidence; Bill Barr's father was headmaster of the Dalton School where Jeffrey Epstein taught and was already rumored to have had inappropriate relations with students before he left to acquire his personal fortune by rigging taxes for two billionaires -- fast fashion tycoon Les Wexner and equities bigshot Leon Black. Les Wexner founded Victoria's Secret and Bath & Body Works. Listen to Miley Cyrus' hit "Victoria's Secret," on her "Flowers" album in which she sings, "I know Victoria's secret"... hmm what is it?  "And, girl, you wouldn't believe/ She's an old man who lives in Ohio/ Making money of girls like me." "Flowers" won record of the year 2024, at the GRAMMYs.  So many pervs to sing about in and around this bunch. Read about a 13-year-old who attended parties at Epstein's home in Manhattan in 1994 and who accused Trump and Epstein of rapping her. What? Why don't you know about this?  She dropped her lawsuit after death threats. There are more out there.  Remember he denied everything about Stormy Daniels.  But she, and E. Jean Carroll were not afraid to fight back. Oh come on. In his own words on the Access Hollywood Tape, he was just kidding. It's all a joke. Get a sense of humor.  Want to know why Trumpists killed CPB (NPR and PBS)?  Because of reporting like: All the assault allegations against Donald Trump, recapped | PBS News

Move along the timeline...  Remember back in October 2023, Senate Republicans made it clear that they would not back additional aid for Ukraine without a bill that would help secure the southern border of the United States. With the blessing of both Senator Chuck Schumer, the Majority Leader, and Senator Mitch McConnell, the Minority Leader, a bipartisan team of senators began negotiations to produce a bill that enough members of both parties could accept to overwhelm objections from progressive Democrats and America First Republicans.

The team negotiated for four months to produce this bill. It took less than four days for its support among Republicans to collapse. Why?

Republicans in both the House and Senate yielded to objections from their presidential nominee, former president Donald Trump. Why?  It was the one issue Trump's political psyops indicated could drive some voters to fear being "replaced" and to the polls.  Once the House Speaker stated publicly that he would not allow the Senate bill to reach the House floor for a vote, Republican senators were unwilling to run the political risk of supporting a measure that would not become law. Who fears the Other? Well, about 21% of adult Americans, that's about 45-50 million, are functionally illiterate.  That means they lack the literary skills necessary to manage daily living and employment tasks that require reading beyond a basic level. Basic means... "see dog run..."  But "low proficiency" literacy is more expansive. About 54% of US adults (about 130 million) read below a sixth-grade level. That's obviously more than half of adults. They tend to rural as they cannot secure employment and make enough money to live in urban centers. So we have the great rural/urban split in voting and Trump loves the low literacy folks.  They are his base and he likes to tell them they are smarter than the educated elite.  They like to hear that.  And then there are the pure cynics using Trump to get what they want.

Trumpians (there are no Republicans left) created a crisis in order to win elections. Trump demonized immigrants as eating their neighbors pets and as being murderers and rapists ("the worst of the worst"). Nixon won re-election by betraying the US, making a secret deal with the Viet Cong to keep the war going and deny the the Democratic leadership, the US, indeed everyone, an end to the war. Here we go again. Thanks to this fear mongering that is the main strategy of Republicans, this time about immigrants, we now see a huge increase in government sponsored violence in our towns, cities, even our schools under the pretext of "law and order." This has led to terrorizing the population, injury, and death here in Minnesota and elsewhere.  This is a manufactured crisis.  As noted above, there was a legislative solution but it was sabotaged by Trumpians for personal power and status. The immigration issue is being used as an excuse to attack predominantly Democratic states and cities.  It is meant to punish political opponents and to set the stage for a crisis that can then be used to stop our elections.  All in the name of "order," which in German is Reich. Is this the Fourth Reich?  Now I'm not advocating for chaos. Stability is necessary for democratic debate (rules of engagement), and growth. But ordination can become dictation.

Anti-immigration is also being pushed across an aging Europe that needs the labor. This is a transnational fear mongering effort.  It is being lead by the same anti-democratic forces and bankrolled by the likes of Elon Musk (a racists evident by his own social media posts and funding priorities). The gang that put together the "2025 plan" for America and the world has been working on the courts for years and managed to get a Supreme Court to change the law to allow as much money as one can muster to corrupt the electoral process. Hence Elon and other billionaires are making their move (including buying up as much media as possible). A strategy famously pushed after Nixon's demise by Roger Ailes to found a permanent propaganda network that led to Fox News and beyond. Ailes had been a media consultant for Nixon, Reagan, George H. W. (and also Rudy Giulliani's mayoral campain in 1989). You see the same players over and over. Kavanaugh led the charge of outsiders flooding into Florida to stop the Gore/Bush recount that the Florida state Supreme Court had ordered. GOP mobs attacking government offices are common. While the rich boy Trump was palling around with Epstein, Ailes, famed for "selling the President" (McGinniss, 1969), initially hooked up with Joseph Coors who bankrolled Television News Inc. to present a "conservative" version of news. He then did his stints in the various GOP Whitehouses before hooking up with Rupert Murdoch in 1996 to become Chairman of News Corp until his ignominious exit from Fox in 2016 for sexually harassing several female Fox employees and then dropping dead a year later at his residence in Palm Beach, Florida.

Meanwhile... climate change is accelerating and the US is pouring political and military capital into expanding, not limiting, fossil fuel use for the personal economic gain of corrupt leaders.

Well, we made it barely to 250 years.  Maybe the founders in all their extreme liberalism (the Constitution of the USA and the Bill of Rights have been called the most radical documents ever penned), never believed it would last this long.  We will see if our democratic republic can survive all those who have rushed to jump on Trump's coat-tails for they are to blame.  Not one man, but all those who have given him power.  The trollish delight in schadenfreude (taking pleasure in the pain and misfortune of others) has overwhelmed our culture. The losers are delighting in bringing the intellectual elites down. The same teachers who dedicated themselves to helping people move forward are now the enemy. This is the revenge of the losers.  Our president re-posts videos of himself wearing a crown while shitting all over us from a fighter jet. He must like such content!  Bombing America, not a foreign land. And about a third of us believe such not-so-metaphorical behavior is good as they applaud their leader's hate speech. Sorry.  Lincoln was right. We either stand together or divided the great experiment will fail.

As long as we take pleasure in watching our fellow Americans suffer, we have already lost our great country because our great country is not a territory.  It is a culture, a way of being.  It built a structure that allowed for upward mobility, including the greatest system of higher education in world history. Yes, the US has the most powerful armed forces ever.  But also the greatest ladders for upward mobility. If we destroy those ladders, then we have nothing left but bullets, some even shot into the face of a 37 year old mother of three who appears to have been jovial with ICE Agents until they swarmed her and scared the shit out of her yanking on her car door, reaching for her through the window, yelling "Get out of the way,"  "Stop"  whatever.  Hate, as a way of being, is a dead end. If we can't grow up, this is our dead end.
